Hamsters have similar needs as human beings - eat, sleep & have fun!

A hamster requires a proper cage which is placed in a well ventilated area, well balanced diet as well as some toys for daily entertainment (running wheel etc).

Basic Needs of a Hamster

With the above considerations in mind, Hamsters' Lodging aims to provide the best possible care for hamsters when their owners are away.

Living environment

Hamsters are small animals that tend to be rather particular about cleanliness. To maintain a similar level of cleanliness outside their cages, we ensure that the living environment at Hamsters' Lodging is insect-free and well ventilated.

We would prefer that owners provide their own cage as this will minimise stress to the hamsters due to the sudden change in environment. To facilitate this, Hamsters' Lodging has offered 2-way transport as part of our Basic Package to minimise the possible transportation hassle that owners might face when opting for hamster boarding services. 

Diet

A well balanced hamster mix and clean water supply is vital for the general well being of a hamster. At Hamsters' Lodging, we offer fresh water as well as fresh fruit/vegetable to hamsters on a daily basis. We would recommend that owners provide us with a supply of hamster food for the duration of the stay as the hamsters might not be able to adapt to the hamster mix which can be supplied by Hamsters' Lodging upon request (refer to Add-ons under Fees & Charges).

Interaction

Hamsters are active animals especially during the night time. They need a variety of toys and other items which allow them to exercise, explore and have fun. At Hamsters' Lodging, we will interact with hamsters daily on a 1-to-1 basis and also offer hamsters the option of exercise ball, plastic tunnel tubes etc to ensure that their stay here is an enjoyable one.

Daily updates

We are also aware that pet owners will naturally miss their hamster and be worried about their well being when they are away. With this in mind, Hamsters' Lodging offer daily photo updates to owners as part of our Basic Package.
